Chipping Sodbury’s Gromit arrived has arrived following the support of the local community, including Redcliffe Homes, to raise enough money to sponsor a Gromit for the Summer. In total Sodbury Chamber of Commerce had twenty-seven independent businesses, four larger businesses, five charities and Sodbury Town Council all contributing to the cause. There was also a Go Fund Me Page set up which also helped the campaign.
Chipping Sodbury’s ‘Amazing Grace’ is part of this summer's Gromit Unleashed 2 trail, located outside the Baptist Church in the High Street. The trail, running from today until September 2nd, will be raising money for The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity and features more than 60 sculptures across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
It follows the success of the Grand Appeal’s two previous sculpture trails, the original Gromit Unleashed in 2013 and Shaun in the City in 2015.
