Choosing decor at new Chippenham homes

People viewing inside the first of 31 new homes being built at Rowden Court, Chippenham can give their views on their choice of décor.

Developers Redcliffe Homes are opening their first view home at Rowden Court and are using the opportunity to research the views of people on how rooms should be decorated.

Designers, who normally provide the interior designs for Redcliffe Homes showhomes have produced “mood boards” that will be displayed in rooms throughout the house and visitors are being asked to vote for their favourite and give their personal opinion.

Redcliffe sales and marketing manager, Lorraine Kendrick said: “People’s tastes change and we are interested to know what colours and designs people now favour in their homes. We find that people have different choices of interior design depending on where they are in their lives and at Rowden Court we have properties to suit the whole community.

“We are using the mood boards to gather people’s opinions and the research will help us find out if those with young families look for different interior designs to those who are single or those who are downsizing after the children have left home. The views will help us to develop our showhomes for the future.

“We hope it will be a fun and interesting thing for people to do and they will get a chance to walk around the new home at the same time and see just what we are creating at Rowden Court.

The mood boards will go on display for the first time when the view home opens on Saturday March 28 from 11 am to 4pm. The four-bedroom classically designed four-bedroom Monkton view home will then be open to the public five days a week from Thursday to Monday from 10 am to 5pm.

Potential buyers can also benefit from one room being decorated by the interior designers when they reserve a property during the month of April but Redcliffe Homes are open to all visitors to the development, off Rowden Lane, Chippenham.
