Miriam triumps to success in Corsham 10K

Miriam Plant, Development Coordinator, at Redcliffe Homes triumphed to success in the Corsham 10K race, held on Sunday 22nd April. Miriam and her partner, Rob, have both been training hard over the last few months in preparation for both the Bath half marathon and Corsham 10K, even running home from work at night!

Both Miriam and Rob ran on behalf of 'The Samaritans' charity, Miriam said ''We wanted to support the Samaritans because my Step Mum has been a volunteer with the Samaritans for over 40 years. When situations reach a tipping point the Samaritans are always there to help people explore their options and make the decisions which are right for them. Due to the generous support of both colleagues and friends we have raised just over £500 plus any claimable gift-aid and we are confident all funds raised are going to a very worthy cause''

The event, which attracts over 1200 runners, is now in its 36th year and is organised by Corsham Running Club, with all proceeds after costs being donated to local charities.

Redcliffe Homes were one of the proud sponsors on the day, with the runners passing the new Redcliffe Homes development 'Park Place' on Park Lane.
