Redcliffe Homes is investing in the local community of Corsham by supporting the local under 12’s girls team by sponsoring their kit.
The club attracts around 300 players to its regular coaching sessions and boasts teams from aged six to under seventeen. It’s a much-loved part of the community and has been in existence since 1977 AFC Corsham plays its home games at Leafy Lane, just a short drive away from Redcliffe Home’s new development ‘Park Place’ in Corsham.
Simon Bray, who has been at the helm of AFC Corsham for the last two years, has been busy fundraising as the club has set its sights on acquiring a new full-size 3G pitch within five years.
“Corsham AFC currently has a quarter size 3G pitch but it needs updating. It is a long process but we want to be where Chippenham and Melksham are today.”
Simon recently successfully completed the three peaks challenge – climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in The Lake District and Snowdon in Wales- to raise funds for the club.
Simon, AFC Corsham Chairman, said ‘We are grateful for the support of Redcliffe Homes and we were delighted to fly the Redcliffe Flag at each summit of our three peaks challenge’
