Celebrating 10 Years with Mandy at Redcliffe Homes!
Celebrating 10 years with Mandy at Redcliffe Homes!
We’re incredibly excited to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of our Sales and Marketing Manager, Mandy!
Mandy is an integral part of our team, and truthfully, we would be lost without her.
To mark this milestone, Mandy has enjoyed an extra five days of holiday last year. We caught up with her after her well-deserved break delve into her time here at Redcliffe, how the industry has changed, and what she has in store for the next decade.
What attracted you to Redcliffe Homes, and why have you stayed?
After 20 years working for a large corporate house builder, Mandy was drawn to Redcliffe Homes for a better work-life balance, the opportunity to join a smaller team with more flexibility really appealed.
“I started at Redcliffe Homes in 2014 as a Sales & Marketing Coordinator, and over the past decade, I have climbed the ladder, being promoted to Sales and Marketing Manager in 2022. Redcliffe Homes is a lovely company to work for, it’s like being a part of a big family. Everyone gets stuck in, and everyone’s approachable. We really do all work together to achieve the best results.”
What is your most memorable moment?
“Getting promoted was a huge moment for me. I didn’t expect it, and it was great to have my skills recognised. I believe my experience as a Sales Advisor, Sales Manager, and Marketing Manager has meant I have been able to bring valuable skills into the business over the past 10 years.”
What has been your funniest moment?
“When one of my team members made me put a sheet over my head!” Mandy explains the reason behind this random ask, the team all got together for a spook-tacular Halloween themed photoshoot. Missed it? Take a look here.
What do you enjoy most about working at Redcliffe Homes?
“We have quality product, a quality team and quality site locations, it’s a great combination!”
How would you describe your leadership style?
Mandy believes that communication is the most important part of being a leader. She always tries to listen and make a conscious effort to actively understand what her team want and need. This means she’s able to keep her team happy, and a happy team is a motivated team! “I have a consultative approach, I value my team’s input, and this allows me to understand how they work and how to get the best out of everyone.”
What has been your biggest challenge at Redcliffe Homes?
“Sadly, it’s not all fun and games, we work in a difficult market that changes rapidly. So not only am I overseeing general market trends to ensure that we’re staying ahead of the game, but when things are tough, I need to keep my growing team motivated.”
What makes Redcliffe Homes stand out as a property developer?
“Our quality product, good specification, and prime locations. Our future development locations and homes are determined by our Managing Director’s ethos of ‘would I chose to live here myself‘
What do the next 10 years hold for you, Redcliffe Homes, and the industry?
“I love my role and want to continue evolving and growing alongside Redcliffe Homes.” When it comes to the industry, Mandy hopes to see improvements in planning applications across the region, something that has been a considerable challenge in recent years. She sees sustainability as a key focus, not just for Redcliffe Homes, but for the industry as a whole.
What about the year ahead, what are your predictions for the industry in 2025?
“It’s hard to say, but I hope for improvements. Mortgage rates are getting better, but it’s still a challenging market.”
What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever received?
“Even Managing Director’s wears jeans on the weekend. It reminds me to stay grounded.”
What do you like doing outside work to relax and unwind?
“I love salsa dancing. I started a few years ago and I do it with my husband, and after a break during COVID, I’ve started lessons again. I also enjoy travelling and as much as I love my job, who doesn’t love a holiday?”
Any final words?
“I took a bit of a risk moving from a large PLC to Redcliffe Homes, but the change has 100% paid off. I was warmly welcomed, and I haven’t looked back since!”
